Resumen:
Según la ONU, la industria de la moda es la segunda más contaminante del planeta. Desarrollamos un nuevo material a base de desechos (de fresas, mora, cáscara de banano y arándanos) para trabajarlo como textil y como una nueva forma de generar indumentaria. Invitamos a las personas a reflexionar sobre el impacto ambiental que produce la industria textil, y alimentar el compromiso de diseñadores y artistas para favorecer a que la imaginación explore nuevos escenarios creativos, con posibles soluciones para un futuro más sostenible.
Abstract:
According to the UN, the fashion industry is the second most polluting on the planet. We developed a new material based on waste (from strawberries, blackberries, banana peels and blueberries) to work it as a textile and as a new way of generating clothing. We invite people to reflect on the environmental impact produced by the textile industry, and nurture the commitment of designers and artists by encouraging imagination to explore new creative scenarios, with possible solutions for a more sustainable future.
